Iron Fist APS for US Army’s Bradley IFVs: Haifa, Israel – May 5, 2024 – In a move that significantly bolsters the defensive capabilities of the U.S. Army’s Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicles (IFVs), Elbit Systems Ltd. (ESLT) has secured a $37 million contract to supply its Iron Fist Active Protection Systems (APS). The 24-month contract involves furnishing General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS) with the Iron Fist APS, integrating this next-generation technology into the M2A4E1 variant of the Bradley IFV.

Air Marshal Nagesh Kapoor assumed the appointment of Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C) Training Command (TC) of the world’s fourth largest air force, the Indian Air Force, on Wednesday (01 May 2024). Air Marshal N Kapoor was commissioned into the Fighter stream of the Indian Air Force on 06 December 1986. He is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy, Defence Services Staff College and National Defence College. A Qualified Flying Instructor and a Fighter Combat Leader, he has more than 3400 hours of flying experience.

The Supersonic Missile-Assisted Release of Torpedo (SMART) system was launched from a ground-based mobile launcher off the coast of Odisha on Wednesday (May 1, 2024).
