CDS Bipin Rawat Helicopter Crash: In an extremely tragic incident, an Indian Air Force helicopter with some senior officers, including India’s highest military officer, the country’s first chief of defence staff General Bipin Rawat, has crashed in the Nilgiri hills in the coonoor district of southern state of Tamil Nadu.

Indian Navy INS Vela: In a major boost to its underwater warfare capabilities, Indian Navy Thursday commissioned INS Vela, the fourth submarine of Scorpene class which has been built in India by Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders under the Project-75.

Indian Navy Scorpene Class Submarine INS Vela: The Indian Navy got its fourth Scorpene class submarine INS Vela, which will be commissioned this month. Scorpene class submarine Vela, which was launched on May 6, 2019, completed all major harbour and sea trials including weapon and sensor trials despite COVID restrictions, said the Defence Ministry on Tuesday.
