Top officer reviews the progress of critical roads on China border

Top officer of the India’s dedicated border road building organisation has reviewed the progress of construction of critical roads on China border in the eastern sector of the country.
Director General Border Roads Orgnasiation, Lt Gen Harpal Singh, reviewed the progress of works of operationally critical roads in the area of responsibility of project Arunank for two days on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Lt General Harpal Singh carried out inspection of Road TCC – Taksing & TCC-Bidak. He was accompanied by Brig RS Rawal during the inspection of sector.

Lt General Harpal Singh traveled from Taksing to Gelensiniak-Bidak and arrived at Limeking.

DGBR Lt General Harpal Singh called on Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu.

He also inspected the ongoing road construction and took stock of plan of Bailey Bridges on various Nallahs and rivers for fair weather connectivity to Taksing and Bidak.
The inspection of Hapoli- Sarli-Huri Road was also carried out on Wednesday.
Government is keen that the road connectivity in these areas should be established at all costs.

India has a long running border dispute with China and both the countries have fought a war in 1962. While China has carried out massive upgradation of its border roads and military infrastructure along India border, India needs to make a lot of efforts to catch up with the pace of infrastructure development at its border with China.
