Saab Global Eye System: Swedish defence and security company Saab has secured a high-value contract to supply two advanced GlobalEye aircraft to a customer in the Middle East region. Valued at SEK 10.1 billion, the agreement marks a substantial expansion of the company’s airborne surveillance footprint, with official deliveries slated to take place in 2030.
The deal highlights the expanding global demand for robust, multi-domain surveillance solutions capable of meeting the complex security challenges of modern warfare.

The GlobalEye system is recognised as a cutting-edge, multi-domain Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) solution. It is equipped with an intricate array of active and passive sensors designed to provide long-range detection and precise identification of objects across multiple domains—spanning the air, maritime surface, and land.
By streaming real-time information directly to joint forces, the platform significantly enhances situational awareness across wide operational theatres and ensures the early detection of potential threats.
