In a landmark cross-border transaction, Indian billionaire Satyanarayan Nuwal’s Solar Industries India has agreed to acquire South Africa’s prominent explosives and fertiliser group, Omnia Holdings. Valued at approximately $1.4 billion (₹133 billion) or 21.8 billion rand, the all-cash deal marks a major milestone in the expansion of Indian industrial enterprises into the African continent and international markets.
