Elbit Systems bags $54 million US Army order to supply night vision devices

Elbit Systems US Army Night Vision Device: Elbit Systems of America, a US subsidiary of Israeli defence major Elbit Systems has been awarded a $54 million contract to supply Enhanced Night Vision Goggle, known as Binocular (ENVG-B) systems to the US Army. The contract also entails supply of spare parts, providing logistics support and test equipment to the Army, the company announced Thursday.

The order will be executed in Roanoke, Virginia and will be supplied through February 2023.This order is part of an Other Transaction Authority (OTA) contract that could reach a maximum amount of $442 million.

Raanan Horowitz, President and CEO of Elbit Systems of America, said that company’s ENVG-Bs provides war-fighters with unprecedented situational awareness during limited visibility conditions.

“ENVG-Bs provide increased lethality through faster target acquisition and other game-changing advantages on the battlefield,” Horowitz said in a statement sent to Defence Star.
