India to participate in Cobra Gold military exercise next year

Senior military officers of India, USA and Thailand met in Thailand’s capital Bangkok on Saturday to chalk out the plan for the largest military exercise of South East Asia – Cobra Gold.

The exercise which is co-sponsored by United States and Thailand will be organised in February next year.

Indian army will send 14 member contingent.

India will participate in the exercise with a 14 member contingent.

Indian army’s brigadier Anupam, along with other officers, participated in the final planning conference in Bangkok this week.

Indian forces have extensively engaged with the regional and world forces by participating in joint military exercises in India and abroad to enhance interoperability and goodwill with the armed forces of friendly countries.
