India-Israel Defence Cooperation: The 17th India-Israel Joint Working Group (JWG) on defense cooperation convened on November 4, 2025, in Tel Aviv, co-chaired by India’s Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh and Maj Gen (Res) Amir Baram, Director General of the Israeli Ministry of Defence. The meeting saw the signing of a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that aims to deepen defense ties between the two countries.

The MoU will foster collaboration in strategic dialogues, defense industrial cooperation, technological innovation, and cyber security. It will also focus on co-development and co-production of advanced military technologies. Both countries agreed to continue building on their long-standing defense partnership, sharing expertise in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, cyber defense, and advanced R&D.

The two sides reviewed ongoing defense initiatives and discussed new areas for joint cooperation, particularly in counterterrorism. The meeting underscored the commitment of both nations to strengthening their defense collaboration and ensuring greater security in the region.
