Noemi Aerospace-Skyhop Partnership for expansion of seaplane services in India.
Noemi Aerospace has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with SkyHop Aviation, India’s first dedicated commercial seaplane operator, to introduce up to 15 amphibious aircraft to the Indian market. The agreement follows recent diplomatic talks between India and Norway regarding sustainable regional aviation and builds on India’s national infrastructure strategies.
SkyHop plans to build a dedicated network starting in the Lakshadweep islands, with a target fleet size of up to 40 aircraft by the financial year 2030. The collaboration will evaluate technical, operational, and regulatory requirements, alongside exploring the potential for future local manufacturing and assembly of electric and hybrid aircraft.

Strategic Growth for Noemi Aerospace
The agreement brings Noemi‘s global commercial pipeline to over 90 aircraft, highlighting increasing momentum across Europe, North America, and Asia. Noemi is currently developing a nine-passenger amphibious aircraft capable of operating from both water and conventional runways, with a target entry into service by 2030.
Company executives noted that the partnership aligns with India’s broader government initiatives, such as the UDAN regional connectivity programme, which aims to establish approximately 150 new seaplane routes. Both companies aim to use the partnership to support the development of a broader seaplane ecosystem across India’s coastal and island regions.
