Elbit Systems Wins Helicopter Upgrade Contract: Haifa, Israel – Elbit Systems Ltd., an Israel-based defense technology company, announced on May 13, 2025, that it has been awarded an approximately $80 million contract from an undisclosed international customer. The agreement entails upgrading the customer’s reconnaissance helicopters with advanced avionics and Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition, and Reconnaissance (ISTAR) solutions. The company stated that these upgrades aim to enhance the operational capabilities of the helicopters.

According to Elbit Systems, the project is slated to be carried out over a two-year period. Yoram Shmuely, General Manager of Elbit Systems Aerospace, commented on the contract in a press release, stating the company’s pride in being selected for the upgrade and highlighting their ability to enhance mission readiness and extend the lifespan of existing platforms.
