Raj Kumar Arora Financial Advisor Defence Services: Raj Kumar Arora, a seasoned 1990 batch officer of the Indian Defence Accounts Service (IDAS), assumed the role of Financial Advisor (Defence Services) on November 1, 2025. Arora’s extensive expertise encompasses defense acquisition, financial policy formulation, accounting, auditing, budgeting, and personnel management.

Before this appointment, he served as Controller General of Defence Accounts (CGDA), where he oversaw the financial machinery of the defense establishment. His prior roles include significant government appointments such as Additional Secretary in the Union Public Service Commission, Finance Manager (Air) in the Ministry of Defence’s Acquisition Wing, and Director in the Ministry of Finance.

He also contributed as Member (Finance) at the erstwhile Ordnance Factory Board and worked as Integrated Financial Advisor in various defense commands and field setups, bringing deep institutional knowledge to his role.

In his capacity as Financial Advisor, Arora will play a key role in advising on procurement and budgeting, ensuring financial discipline and integrity within the defense finance ecosystem, crucial for enhancing India’s defense preparedness.
