Indian Navy’s GSAT-7R Satellite: In a major boost to its space-based communication and maritime surveillance capabilities, the Indian Navy is set to launch the cutting-edge GSAT-7R satellite on November 2, 2025. Developed indigenously by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), this satellite is the most advanced and heaviest communication satellite created specifically for the Indian Navy, weighing approximately 4,400 kg.
The GSAT-7R will be launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre
in Sriharikota and is being hailed as a game-changer for the Navy’s operational effectiveness.
