Karwar, November 12, 2025 – The Indian Navy has opened a new recruitment centre at INS Kadamba in Karwar, a significant step to strengthen its recruitment drive and enhance the Navy’s presence along India’s Western Seaboard. The centre, the tenth such establishment in India, will facilitate the recruitment of youth from Karnataka, Southern Maharashtra, and Goa to serve in the Indian Navy.

The new centre will play a pivotal role in the Stage-2 recruitment process for the 01/2026 Agniveer batch, running from November 10–15, 2025. This milestone marks a key expansion in the Navy’s outreach efforts, creating more opportunities for young Indians to join the military and serve their nation.
