India’s Defence Acquisition Council Clears Defence Procurement Worth $9.5 Billion (Rs 79,000 crore): New Delhi, October 23, 2025 — In a significant move to modernise and enhance India’s military capabilities, the Defence Acquisition Council (DAC), chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, has approved proposals worth approximately ₹79,000 crore (USD 9.5 billion) for the procurement of cutting-edge defence equipment for the Indian Armed Forces.
