Vietnam Helicopter Corporation Airbus H225 Helicopter: Hanoi, Vietnam, 7 April 2026 – The Vietnam Helicopter Corporation (VNH), through its subsidiaries Southern Vietnam Helicopter Company (VNH South) and Northern Vietnam Helicopter Company (VNH North), has placed an order for three Airbus H225 helicopters. The acquisition aims to enhance the corporation’s offshore energy operations and gradually replace ageing aircraft within its fleet.
This latest order reaffirms the longstanding and trusted relationship between VNH and Airbus Helicopters, a partnership that has spanned over 40 years. It also highlights VNH’s ongoing commitment to modernising and bolstering its heavy helicopter capabilities as part of its long-term strategy.
Airbus H225: The Backbone of VNH’s Future Fleet

The H225, part of Airbus Helicopters’ renowned Super Puma family, has gained significant recognition for its high performance in demanding offshore conditions. It is valued for its impressive range, payload capacity, and cutting-edge avionics and autopilot systems, which increase safety and reduce pilot workload, making it a perfect fit for the challenging offshore environment.
VNH’s decision to centre its future operations around the H225 underscores the aircraft’s proven capabilities and its ability to support a wide array of missions, including offshore energy transport, utility services, search and rescue operations, and broader transport requirements.
