Indian Army’s Aviation Corps celebrates 33rd raising day

Indian Army’s air wing has completed 33 years of its existence on Thursday. Army Aviation Corps has played an important role by providing vital air support to its soldiers in safeguarding the borders.

It also provided relief to the common man during times of natural calamities.

Indian Army said: “The Corps is undergoing a massive transformation effort and expanding its fleet to augment its combat, tactical lift and surveillance capabilities to act as a potent force multiplier.”

The ceremonial wreath was laid by Lieutenant General Kanwal Kumar, colonel commandant and director general of army aviation, along with a host of serving officers, soldiers and veterans.
