HAL ITSOA certification for Air Data Computer: India’s state owned aircraft manufacturer HAL has received Indian Technical Standard Order Authorisation (ITSOA) certificate from the civil aviation regulator Directorate General for Civil Aviation (DGCA) for its avionic equipment – Air Data Computer (ADC) for outside air temperature probe for civil platforms.

The certification for the avionic equipment is for both hardware and software.

The ADC is used to calculate the air data parameters like pressure altitude, calibrated airspeed, mach number, total air temperature, vertical speed based on static pressure, total pressure and outside air temperature inputs.

The HAL said its ADC-OAT is the first avionic equipment in the country that has qualified for ITSOA and will pave the way for the fitment on future civil platforms like ALH, Dornier, LUH, SARAS etc.
